He repeats this phrase and motif throughout the song. The whimsical high melodic lines of the piano reinforces the idyllic idea of “la belle vie” being like a dream. As Sacha’s song of whimsical dreams draws to a close, he tells his lover to then wake themselves up, “réveille-toi”. He then says, “je serai là”, meaning he’s going to be there for them. I think that through him, their dreams of “la belle vie” can be realised.
